Fligth Simulators are just look like giant computer games. These machines are used mainly for training pilots to fly new types of aircraft and to practice flying skills, including what to do in an emergency. They are very popular as they save fuel costs and, of course, it is much safer to train on the ground than in the air. Scenes from real airports are projected on to a screen outside the cockpit window. This lets pilots take-offs and landing in 'real' conditions. For a realistic effect, aircraft sounds are fed through loudspeakers inside the simulator. In addition, a flight simulator has legs that move to tilt in all directions. While the simulator is actually fixed to the ground, it is capable of tilting. This feature lets the pilot inside feel as though he is flying through air.
Let's watch out!
